Drive and support the development of sourcing strategies for the country via ‘demand side’ (working with key stakeholders) and supply side management (working with country procurement teams and/or external vendors in developing sourcing strategies)
Support the local business to manage its cost base through operating a structured and risk averse procurement process
Raise the profile of Global Sourcing through regular communication and effective procurement
Help develop solutions to improve efficiency and compliance
Identify, develop and deploy the best practice of sourcing of goods/services in right quality, service & price to exceed stakeholder expectations.
Manage the relationship with vendors from a global perspective, owning and implementing the strategic account.
Build and establish strategic relationship with key vendors.
Act as interface between Business/CRES, Legal, Finance & Vendor.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Work closely with the Regional Lead and business stakeholders to develop and support sourcing and supply strategies
Work with business, and in support of the Regional Lead, to drive overall commercial and contractual benefits
Monitor and review country expenditure patterns and service operation models to seek out opportunities to improve the way services are procured and drive commercial and contractual efficiencies
Identifies and mitigates risks that would impact the overall project success/ failures
Ensures projects are prioritized and delivered against agreed timelines
Provides cost efficiencies by delivering sustainable commercial advantages to the business
Ensure procurement is undertaken in a professional and transparent way in line with bank policies and processes
Advises and influences business procurement decisions including reporting on client sensitivities
Regularly produce meaningful reporting to demonstrate savings or service improvement opportunities
Communicate, educate and reinforce stakeholders on bank and procurement policies & processes
To support the hand over to stakeholders of third party relationships from procurement to ongoing vendor management
Monitor the market & vendor base for emerging services & trends to assess potential solutions/opportunities
Timely involvement in Projects and with Business as Usual (‘’BAU’’) activity
Agreed targets achieved in Business As Usual (‘’BAU’’) and Negotiated Saves
Work undertaken in accordance with Global Sourcing and other Bank policies and processes
Sourcing decisions, contracts and communications are developed & influenced which meet defined business objectives
Operating risks are identified, communicated and managed where required
Demonstrate an ability to work well as part of the sourcing team and with management, colleagues and stakeholders
Ability to demonstrate the banks values of courageous, responsive, international, trustworthy and creative
Deliver superior financial performance / cost management by exceeding country saves target, support both local sourcing activities and the assigned regional or cross country project.
Continuously improve the way we work by ensuring the sourcing deliveries are based on GS policies, regular and effective engagement/communication with stakeholders for implementation of GS policies/updates, and identify sourcing opportunities,.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience in procurement and in particular the Corporate Real Estate Services area (Degree holder with at least 3-5 years experience in Procurement/Sourcing)
Good commercial/ and analytical skills
Skilled in dealing with contractual aspects
Good relationship management skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
Ability to work in a commercial environment to tight schedules
Experience of working as part of an international team
